An exercise in designing a performance arts space within an infill site in downtown New Orleans.
The design of the project was drawn from tracing the buildable limits of the site as "curtain" disguising elements inside. This curtain was formed by a large perforated shading structure which was then intersected by boxes of program.
The center masses contain a large performance space that opens onto the street, creating a traditional New Orleans porch condition that can be utilized for street-side performances.
