This study aims to investigate the spatial expressions of the produced fear, based on the relationship of power with urban planning and with the strategies of surveillance and control. Focusing mostly in the contemporary metropolis of the developed countries of the West, it seeks the negative psychological effects that the city exerts to its residents. In parallel, it searches for the management methods of the dominant forces in the direction of creating safe, demarcated and homogenized spaces, organized in that way in order to be used only by a small elite.
