An animation video mixed with live action shooting explain you how to prepare the "Tomatoes stuffed with tuna salad". StepByStep is the 2nd of two short videos forming part of a larger project about the slowfood lifestyle.

Visual styling - We worked hard on a distinctive styling, simple and original. A few props, strong and contrasting colors. Few words but essential. Each scene object was handmade, using plasticine.

Neutral backgrounds created with colored cardboard, upon which we created the computer-animated lettering.

 

Technicalities - The making of the video was mainly composed of three steps. The realization of the props, the set up and the video recording and finally the post production. During live shooting we used the Canon 600D camera with 50mm lens for shooting stationary and vertical, and a 25mm lens for shooting in motion on handmade dolly. We added in post production and animated all the lettering, we made a careful color correction and everything needed to make the images less realistic but cleaner.
