OPPORTUNITY:

Create a poster to commemorate the anniversary of the Works Progress Administration. Designers must create an original poster to revive the art of the WPA by picking a social cause that is relevant to the time and culture that we live in currently. These posters should be a call to action, and serve as part of a campaign to rally citizens to do the hard work that's necessary to create positive change. Ultimately, the poster should aim to be forward-looking and inspirational.

SOLUTION:

Design a poster for the SC Cass Elias McCarter Guardian ad Litem Program. This is a program for kids who have been reported as being abused and neglected. Volunteers are assigned to get to know a child, and speak on their behalf in court dealings. This gives kids the opportunity to have a part in their futures. Without a Guardian, they would have no say in the matter.

The poster is a call to action for people to play this role in a child's life. The man is high fiving the child, which shows a not only a healthy relationship forming, but also a positive action happening with the man's hands, as opposed to hitting, etc. The tag "superpowers not necessary" is there to show that you don't have to be extraordinary to make a difference in a child's future.
