Jill Hopler (owner) was born in 1964 on Otis Air Force Base in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Her father was in the U.S. Air Force and her mother a homemaker. At the age of 5, Jill was the kitchen mascot, learning to make spaghetti and meatballs the old-fashioned way. By the time she was 8 years old, her love for culinary studies began to blossom. She would spend countless lesson-filled hours in that sacred kitchen with her Italian great grandmother, Noni, who always seemed to smell like a freshly cooked homemade dish, her grandmother Nannie, who consistently encouraged Jill to nurture her creative side, and her mother Gail, ever the supportive one. Little did she know that her apprenticeship with three generations of strong women would shape her into the cook she is today. This familial food club offered Jill license to legitimately blend Old World philosophies with her new world approach to the edible arts. Jill’s appreciation for fresh ingredients, impressively well-prepared & healthy recipes, and sharply delicate palate are the perfect accessories for a marriage of flavors and textures.

Jill has been entertaining her friends and family for years, secretly honing her craft. From intimate dinners for two to dinner parties for twenty, Jill lives up to her time-honored reputation of a self-proclaimed “foodie”. At the age of 40, Jill decided it was time to exit the perpetual doldrums of the office and push through the swinging doors of the kitchen.

After perfecting her notable signature dishes and creating delectable new ones, she placed ads in several small publications and presented herself as a personal cook. “Homemade, healthy and tasty in your home” is what she emphasized. Before she knew it, Jill had a handful of clients and her career as a personal cook took off. Now living in New York City, Jill continues her work, enticing a deprived populace with healthy, homemade, savory dishes.

Jill asks for only one task from you, the lucky guest: Open your doors, offer your kitchens, and bask in the flavorful indulgence that only a Personal Foodie can create.
