Background
Giving Spheres is a concept that attempts to assign the majority of charitable service into 5 distinct groups. These 5 groups include: Green Planet/Blue Ocean, Finding The Cure, Disaster Relief, Second Chances, and Basic Needs.
This logo emphasizes the idea of the "sphere" by encapsulating the logo in a circular border. Further, 5 circles (representing the 5 spheres) wrap around the geometric G to form a sun which aligns with Giving Spheres mission of illuminating the needs of people all around the world.
Lastly, recognizing that charity does not end with one act of giving is crucial. Rather the gift continues to spread and lives on in those affected by the gift. This is represented by the figure of an arrow connecting the G and the S. The sphere that was assigned to me personally was the Basic Needs sphere, so in the negative space of the S you can find a single water drop.
