Cursor Position — Website

This website's aesthetic and functionality is wholly reflective of the cursor (pointer) position as a web technology. Using visual cues from coordinate planes, default web aesthetics, and the pointer arrow itself, the site shows snippets of information on how the pointer is tracked and recorded. The site uses modular widgets to show the user in real-time each of the different ways a pointer, mouse, and user can be tracked and how that positional information can be interpreted. By adding this layer of interactivity, the site weaves the user’s own actions into the cold data of the technology. This essence of relating the digital space to the actual is what connects people to data, and the pointer is one of the truest human expressions online.
