Part blender. Part bear. All misfortune. This is Brains the bear for obvious reasons. This little guy is from a universe where all the animals are animal/appliance hybrids. Yes, that is part of the blade sticking up through his brain. The buttons on his head control the blender. I have more of these critters coming with various odd deformities! Oh and don't worry, his brain comes back so turning it into a smoothie won't kill him, XD

This little guy was in my dream when I woke up earlier, for some odd reason. I have no explanation for my sometimes bizarre, nonsensical dreams. I was washing several teddy bears with brains in glass cases and the one had a blender inside his head for some reason, so I decided; hey, why not? I have to say as bizarre and weird as it is, it IS incredibly unique and creative but I guess that's just how the mind of an artist works, isn't it?

There were some more influences on this as well. The dream was only the first part. It's sort of a mash up between Happy Tree Friends, Mojo Jojo from the Powerpuff girls and my own bizarre imagination. Now I see why sometimes dreams can be the best inspiration! Anyway, I plan on making little animated shorts of this guy for Youtube once I graduate in April.

This is also the second time I tried a cutout style and I feel really great about this one! I love how I was able to make it so nicely. I feel really good about this style and it's something different for once. I did this completely in Flash, using the brush tool and composited it with Photoshop.

SO! What do YOU guys and not guys think? Is this a neat idea or what? I'm a little shocked that I was able to create something new for the second year in a row! I'm really on a roll!
