Trapeznaya, Kyiv,  is the name for a new restaurant  that stretches for 150 sq. m on the premises of “Good Wine”, one of the best wine shops in Ukraine. During the daytime the establishment serves as a dining hall, in the evening Trapeznaya host dining events like masterclasses and presentations and late at night the staff is involved in creating new dishes of the modern cuisine. Laconic and simple in style, the interior design of the new restaurant is the handwork by architect Sergey Makhno who used there his favourite materials such as concrete, glass, metal and woods. He emphasized the wood panels from oak.

With their cracks and roughness the wood tiles made to order for Trapeznaya remind of natural beauty and the influences of nature in the restaurant atmosphere are completed with the author’s gypsum concrete chandeliers with a hint of clay soil texture.  Entering the restaurant you will see ash tree tables made to order, yellow and beige Calligaris chairs, simple lines, concrete walls, and décor elements resulted from collaboration between Sergey Makhno workshop and sculptor Dmitriy Grek.  The one-wall open kitchen allows for culinary master classes and presentations to be given on site. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant has a homely feel.
