Inspired by the islamic patterns found at the Alhambra palace in Spain, four pattern-based album covers were produced for the Brazilian samba band Monobloco. The patterns were produced using a Inkscape in combination with Photoshop to experiment with photos of some of the main instruments used by the band. Amongst the musical characteristics that influenced the album covers were the songs' layered polyphony, upbeatness, multiplicity and liveliness.
