The Last Light
West Coast of Northern Norway, 68°N
In Northern Norway, at 68°N, the sun is under the horizon between the 2th of December and the 10th of January. We call this time of year ‘The Time of Darkness’. In the days following the sun’s disappearance one can still see it’s light gracing the snow-covered mountaintops. It is the suns final farewell, until we see it again next year - it is beautiful and melancholic.
