The Independence Seaport Museum is located on the Penn’s Landing waterfront. It is a museum that teaches children and young adults about the maritime history in Philadelphia through interactive programs, tours, and special events. I placed
my focus on a specific program that the museum holds that talks about Monsters and Myths where they tell stories about urban
legends and monsters of the sea. I gained typographical inspiration from circus posters and illustrative style from old treasure maps. I wanted these posters to be eye-catching and in your face to convince people to come to the museum and learn more
about what the museum has to offer.
