Tresys Technology is a cyber security company that was in desperate need of rebranding. The majority of their clients are associated with the government, but they were seeking to expand their appeal to the private sector. I wanted to create a more clever, playful image for them that stayed away from the classic security tropes of locks, gates, towers, and anything overly digital-looking.
I asked myself what the most important quality of a security firm would be, and decided preparedness before threat arises would be paramount. After a day at the Natural History Museum in DC, I found myself thinking about angler fish, and how their ability to lure their prey from darkness to destruction was a perfect metaphor for Tresys's ability to seek out and eliminate security threats.
