The Kuan (Project Urinal) was made after observing the surroundings in school. Part of the creative process was to take note of certain peculiarities, interesting sites and dilapidated or wrecked areas. Hence, the creation of art installations are dependent to a particular given space. Kuan was used as a medium for directing attention. For instance, the Project Urinal was created as a means of commenting about the lack of facility inside the school's inner facade; and that it seeks attentions for viewers to perceive art's limitless ways of presentation. A comfort room in UP Cebu was the first place where the Kuan was installed.
