KØKKEN - Prints for Northern European Market

The third theme is the kitchen theme where in the motifs would be the cutlery items and other basic kitchen items that one finds in every home. Since Kitchen wear is part of the ensemble, It was decided that we come up with a collection which dedicates to the same. When used on cushions in the living area or when used on the dining table as a runner or a table mat the designs would easily blend in and  not look out of place because of the use of kitchen items as the motifs. Inspiration for technique was taken from the works of a Scandinavian Artist, Sanna Anouka. In her works one can see the usage of a lot of lines and dots and triangles and has a bit of tribal sense to it. The collection therefore will be an amalgamation of the silhouettes of kitchen items and textures inspired from the artist’s work.
KØKKEN, which is in Danish for kitchen has been taken as the name of this collection.
