CARPET BENCH
In "50+20 Agenda – Renewing Business Education in Asia" Conference, PolyU students collaborated with local designers in the theme of upcycling. Here we introduce one of the benches, which made of exhibition waste – the Carpet Bench. The design arises from the desire to create a bench which allows people to find their own way of arranging seats for easier communication. It breaks the convention that benches are usually designed for seating in one direction.
The carpet bench is made of exhibition waste. Instead of being dumped into landfill, students and designers picked the abundant carpet found in HKCEC and further upcycled.
