Egyptian Sun began with a doodle challenge where I was asked to create images from a series of random lines. One of my doodles resulted in a very strange looking, cartoon Anubis figure that I was immediately fond of. The project continued, when I was asked to complete the Vormator challenge that asks artists to take a series of shapes and create an artwork using Adobe Illustrator from just those shapes. For this challenge, I decided to keep working with my Anubis doodle and transform it into a full-blown art project.  Using just the provided shapes I built up and adapted my doodle. I enhanced it with multi-coloured pyramids and an exotic sky. The vibrancy of the palette was selected to represent the depth and spirit of Egyptian history and myth.
This project was completed using Adobe Illustrator.
