Shamans have the inner strength to interact and reach the Spirit world, channeling certain frequencies of mystery and beauty into this physical realm. What inspires me most, which lead to this new series of paintings, does not refer to a Shaman themselves, it refers to the average man/woman who works on their shadow self, releasing past wounds, old traumas giving their world a broader understanding of who they are and where they come from. This work for me has been inspired by the teachings of shamanism and my own experience of the spirit world.
