The View From The Road

One image at a time ...
Seeing through the lens of my camera
I have liked taking pictures since I can remember. So, since you're already here, why not take a peek at a little of what I see when I look through the view finder of my camera.  I hope you enjoy looking ...
The Atlantic Ocean. We're drawn to it like a moth to the porch light. It's intimidating in its size, yet peaceful with its rhythm.
The roof of Vizcaya in Miami, through an upstairs window. The glass, original to the house, was made in the 1920s.
A bee, doing what bees do, among the flowers at Fruit & Spice Park.
Critters found in the urban jungle of south Florida: Cuban Anole.
Winged things abound!
The urban lifestyle encroaches on the rural character of the community found at the fringes of the Everglades.
Water everywhere yields beautiful floating flowers.
The sawgrass prairie of the Everglades is home to delicate bits of beauty ...
Old fence. New grapes.
Shot as the gator was making his way to a culvert pipe that runs under Loop Road, south of the Tamiami Trail, so far into the Everglades that there is no cell phone service.
Duck Key is home to a huge resort and a group of dolphins. For a nominal fee, you can swim with the dolphins. The handlers sit along the dock and throw fish to the dolphins at meal time. I caught this little one looking for the girls after hours. I can just hear him/her saying, "Where are they? It's time for dinner!"
The end of the road.
