This is a part of a set of small projects, based on a road trip I took across the United States of America.

Specifically, this project is focused on the General Sherman tree, the largest tree on the planet. Boasting to have approximately 52,500 cubic feet of wood, not including the branches. Designed to be sold as individual posters their intent is to display bold graphics along with key facts about the tree. Encouraging people to visit and find out more about the park.

This particular set was based on a photograph I took at the location. I then took key colours from the image that most represent the area in order to create a set of prints that convey the parks atmosphere.

The figure at the bottom of the tree is to scale to show the immense size.
The project was also chosen to be featured within the project "See America". Which is an organisation dedicated to encouraging people to visit the USA's national parks.

Photo that was taken at the location and used as a basis for the work.
