State Library Website Re-design
For a re-design of a state library website, I led research initiatives which included a survey, depth interviews, an heuristic evaluation, a competitive assessment, and personas. I also conducted a content inventory and re-created the information architecture of the site. Finally, I developed wireframes to inform the design of the new interface.
Competitive Assessment
To determine best practices for a state library website, I conducted a competitive assessment of five other state library websites.
User Interviews and Observation
I conducted a series of in-depth interviews with several different types of users to better understand user behavior, use patterns, goals and motivations.
Persona Ideation and Creation
Using data collected from depth interviews, I created three different personas to represent three distinct user types of the library system.
Site Map
After conducting research, I re-organized the content of the old state library website and drafted a new site map to better serve the needs of the library's users.
Wireframes
I drafted wireframes for desktop and mobile versions of the site.
