Smoke Signls
In 2014, A Oficina invites the maltese artist Glen Calleja to make an intervaction in Guimarães historical centre (Portugal).
Smoke Signals is a project to discover the origin of some families, where they lived, how they lived and with who and where is the kitchen in the middle of this. The most fundamental questions were the importance of the kitchen like a place of discussion, reunion, joy and sadness. The stories of the old people were completely amazing!
He wanted a project with photography (Ivo Rainha), vídeo (Rafael Lino, Lumatera) and sound (Ricardo Batista). The directions were clear and here you can see the results.
Thanks Glen Calleja for the wonderfull work!
