I was asked to illustrate a poster promoting Samsung's Developer Conference this year. It was maybe a day or two day turn around so I had to lock in the idea and get started. The conference was in San Francisco so there was plenty of imagery to play with. 

They wanted something with the feel of a vintage vacation poster which I did for the first sketch but then I wanted to do something a little more fun with the idea of mixing in the people going to the conference, what they looked like, how they'd get there and what they'd be drinking on the way. 

In the end Samsung went a different way but I had a great time working on this piece.
