Legend tells that the Cocoa seed was a gift from the god Quetzalcoatl and when drunk it would provide wisdom as well as medicinal and aphrodisiac properties. Oro Cacao is a collection of cups inspired in the expansive waves made by the Cocoa drink as an allegory of its expansion through the world as a natural, precious and inherent element of the Mexican cuisine.

Oro Cacao is part of 2 collections: Tributo and La Tlapalería: Sabor a mí.

Tributo is an offering to the dynamic processes of exchange between creative human activities. Emphasizing the dialogue process arising from displacement, we generate traces that result in objects.

La Tlapaleria is a group of Mexican designers conformed by students and recent graduates from the Industrial Design Bachelor of the Tecnologico de Monterrey Campus Guadalajara founded in 2013 as a platform for diffusing and impulsing internationally young talent. In La Tlapalería we create object collections inspired in Mexican culture and in its traditions using local materials and artisanal techniques collaborating with Artisan Masters from Mexico.
