Obsolete Technology - 2012
For this clothing and apparel company, the challenge was to create an image that would appeal to American pop culture in a modern way. I started working on the typography and realized that it had a unique futuristic look to it (reminiscent of the famous Anthony Burgess book and Stanley Kubrick film adaptation; A Clockwork Orange). Inside the gear / eye of the character I featured the apparel company logo, which also happened to be a perfect circle with similar line sizes and edges. What I ended up with was a vector conversion of the original film art with a custom element of branded typography.
This design has been is by far the most successful out of all the designs the small brand has produced!
