Trikona (Design for Selected Space-II)

Final full scale prototype, the 'day' look. The joinery detail of the triangles creates the desired illusion.
Trikona, in its 'night' look. The lights are meant to be a decorative and functional element, fitted according to the needs of the space. Since the space which trikona was created for, is also used after dark, it has been given functional lighting.
Lighting detail. The stitching on the final layer, is meant to both enhance the language and also add to the joining of multiple layers. Note the translucent effect created by the joinery.
Corner Joinery detail. Rivets were used to secure the converging points throughout the partition.
Trikona close up showing all joinery and finishing details, eventually coming together to create one single layer of fabric and light.
Procedural detail, showing how LEDs are attached to base layer.
Simulation of how Trikona will be implmented in the space it was created for. The partitions take care of privacy and creating an enclosed space for leisure, as well as providing much needed light to the space after dark; facilitating the activities which students love to use the space for.
Thank you!
