A complete delight art directing my 25th issue of aq with über photographer Mark Mushet behind the lens. All available light in a Simon Fraser University stairwell, Goldcorp Centre for the Arts. Phillippe Pasquier, recently transplanted from France to conduct fascinating research into the intersections between artificial intelligence and human performance in the fields of dance and music, was very accomodating. The computers he uses are being enabled to learn from performers’ experience and create on their own.
