Cobol is a garden creature that lights up promenades, walkways and corridors in interior and exterior spaces. The 6mm thk Dupont™ Corian® bowls can be CNC milled to suit various patterns / logos / signages. These may be further fabricated in masses and be assembled directly on site over the pre-cast cement concrete solid bowls. The entire luminare is envisaged for plush exteriors where the lamp can exhale light and exuberance into the landscape and where the risk of vandalism is almost negligible. The concrete reduces the over all cost of the luminaire , can be cast on site and be permanently anchor bolted into the floor. When placed against the walls, the Dupont™ Corian® lends itself away to a multitude of variously patterned shadows.
This luminary is designed keeping in mind the hardscape of walkways and corridors in high end townships and villas. It can also aspire to be feature lighting for commercial interiors and hospitality related projects.

Yeah. So by the end of it I just managed to make some pretty looking lamps and didn't do much for mankind. Well, that sucks in a lot of ways but it does show promising commercial potential. And this I believe can be used to change the way we look at this acrylic based solid surface material
