Using Grasshopper, two divided surfaces are piped, creating a parametric frame. Further, the nodes connecting the various bars are defined in such a way that their radii are proportional to the distance between the two surfaces at that point. This creates an interesting dynamic where a thinner frame is created when the planes are close together; however, when the planes pull apart, the nodes increase in size giving the illusion of a much more robust frame. The two variations here show this dynamic exactly.
