In an age of consumerism is not just an object will ruin or breaks we tend to discard and disregard the idea that we can fix it and give it a new utility and personality. I recovered a rattan chair, the wood was completely rotten and i had to remove it completely, but the structure was intact except for a single element.
Removed all the wood I had to also remove the nails that blocked doing so remained some holes, that instead of trying to hide them, I wanted to make them a distinguishing feature of the seat.
Then i created a red methacrylate seat so as to create a contrast with the wood.
