Conceptualization:
From Behren's diverse work in terms of graphic design and architecture, I got a full and submersive sense of Behren's aesthetic. It reminded me greatly of the world of the Capital that I witnessed when watching the movie, The Hunger Games.
Final Product:
The final poster blends the linear and curvilinear elements common in Behrens’s work; however, I decided to play them against one another with the building and borders with strong vertical and horizontal lines and Katniss and her wings in very organic and curvilinear forms breaking through the confines the border has set for her. I then added a metallic gradient beneath all of the shapes to give the poster a sense of luxury and material felt in Behrens’s work as a graphic designer/architect.
