British Silver Week is a London-based company regularly exhibiting the work of over 100 leading British contemporary silversmiths across Europe and the UK. With a desire to improve their presence at the exhibitions and trade fairs I was asked to design exhibition panels that instantly communicated the quality of the silverware on display whilst promoting the British Silver Week brand and patrons.

 

I identified that large scale panels would have a much greater impact at exhibition and would allow the intricate detail of the silverware to be realised. The problem with a series of large scale panels is that they would be difficult to transport from show to show.

 

The solution to this issue was to devise a system that allowed for a series of panels to be connected together in an attractive way in order to complete the whole picture. This system also allows for work to be swapped and changed in order to keep up-to-date with the latest work without the need for a total re-print. The series of smaller panels can also be safely and easily transported.

 

I also developed a website for British Silver Week's sister company 'British Jewellery Week' in 2010 to introduce and display work by up-and-coming artists and designers.
