Orquestra Multiplayer - Identidade Visual

A group of friends came to me with a proposal: creating the identity for their orchestra, that played only songs originated from games.

The challenge was to come up with something that could represent the variety of themes they would be playing and, at the same time, a strong brand that would set them apart from all the others orchestras, choirs and music groups in general. The brand should feel reliable - as they wanted to be taken seriously -, but also connect to the young and technologic public targeted by the orchestra.

The solution I proposed was a brand with a main version - the orchestra name and their inicial letter as a symbol - with 5 other secondary symbol versions. Those versions were inspired by video game genres - horror, fantasy, medieval, japanese and 8bit. The main version of the M in inspired by the Penrose Triangle, the representation of impossibility itself, as a metaphor for what all games ultimately propose.

I also chose for them an unusual combination of colors, once that most orchestras go for a very sober palette, usually black or gray.

Both the clients and I were very happy with the results, and it became one of my favorite projects.
