Mix Tapes: Cover Art- Part 2

A few years ago my good friend started giving out mix tapes for Valentines Day. I was inspired, and after a few years on the receiving end of beautifully crafted mixes and rad packaging concepts I thought I might give it a go and occasionally release mixes of music that I was currently listening to with my immediate friends. Below is one of my latest mix covers and track listings.

"The Injured Sound of My Broken Guitar" is a reflection of the music I was listening to when I created the mix. The artwork is inspired by rock'n roll history as well as the slightly off kilter sounds of various bands. The noisey textural overlay is taken from the live recording of "You Won't See Me by Fuzz  as well as the LoFi 50's rock inspired recordings of The King Khan and BBQ Show's "I'll Be Loving You." Heavier overtones from "Seer" by Witch, "Dangertits" by Brendan Small and "Maiden Mother and Crone" by The Sword inspired the skull element. Heaviest of all however is my Favorite song by The Beatles "I Want You," the progressive song that has been credited as the inspiration for many doom metal bands. Anyway please check out the art, I hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for looking!
