The use of inkjet creates strata on the print medium. From this observation, it allows to use it as a 3D printer to simulate an embossing effect.At work, we use it for prototyping but I realized that I could go further than one layer. So I draw an artichoke because it’s composed of many levels, which is well matched with the printing technique. I used all the colors to create a deep black and increase the thickness of each stratum. Then, I printed successively all the 14 layers of the artichoke.
