Fagerborgfestspillene (english translation: ”The Fagerborg Festival”) is a annually chamber music festival staged in Oslo by The Barrat Due Institute of Music. The festival aims to recruit young people to the classical music arena, as well as being one of Norway's most dynamic and exciting concert venues. The 2015 edition, ”Gnist” (english translation: ”Spark”), focuses on young top practitioners attitude to classical music, and the energy released when young musicians perform over their capacity.
To communicate the festival's unconventional approach to chamber music and defuse an elitist and conservative style of music, we made an bold and colorful identity depicting the moment when the performer and instrument merge on stage.
