We have been asked to design a new identity, the trophy and the certificates for the 14th Edition of the Oderzo Architecture Award. Starting from the concept of architecture as a discipline with the organisation of space as its main purpose, we thought about the trophy as a monolith realised in opaque LapitecĀ®. Four of its surfaces are crossed by a homogeneous band obtained through sandblast. Such band allows to express both the rational partition of space and the transformation realised by architecture as a tool of territorial requalification.
The design of the brand accounts of such considerations, and it configures itself as the bidimensional representation of the band crossing the award's surfaces; this process is similar to the one realised by an architect designing a tridimensional space starting from its planar configuration.
