THE IDEA
The idea for this project was inspired by this very watch, which I had recently received as a gift. I have always been a fan of Fossil watches. This one was one of the most unique designs I've ever seen for a watch and so I was inspired to recreate it. My goal was to create a unique user experience for the watch by creating a conceptual super page that worked in combination with parallax scrolling and 3D animation.
THE EXECUTION
To achieve this goal, I first began reconstructing the watch and all of its individual pieces in a 3D enviornment. In creating the materials and lighting; I wanted it to be as realistic and precise to the original as possible. Next, I animated the watch in its 3D environment and began pairing it to how I envisioned it would interact with a user. I, then, created the layout of the page and matched each segment of the animation to its specific section.
THE RESULT
After many months of planning, executing, thinking and rethinking, the result is what you see here. Thank you for visiting this project and I sincerely hope you enjoy it and are inspired!
