Star Pack Competition Entry
Brief: to create a packaging design for a 'Grow Your Own Culinary Herbs' Kit.
It had to include elements made from carton board, and be re-usable or at least recyclabe.
Target audience was for young beginner cooks, who aren't quite sure of how to grow their own herbs.
I wanted the final design to be simplistic, stylish and easy to teach people how to grow their herbs and use them within cooking.
To make the packaging re-usable, it would fold out into a themed calendar (Thai/ Mexican/ Indian/ Italian), and feature what fruit or vegetables could be planted at certain times of the year.
I decided to create a 'Seeds of the World' theme, and include packages inspired by different countries. Each themed pack would contain different herbs depending on what type of culinary dishes are most traditional there, eg. Italian would feature Parsley, Basil etc.
