Illustrations for Jules Verne's book Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and it's graphic layout
Illustrations relate to original xylographs by Édouard Riou and Alphonse de Neuville. Character of drawing comes from black and white linear drawing of the original illustrations. On one hand they present scenes realistically but thanks to optical illusion given by the character of used linear pen drawing they move the images into the sphere of fantasy and surreal.
