Week #34 / 52 – Eightfold Personal Memento

What is the Eightfold Personal Memento?
Several years ago, I drew a set of little symbols that were my personal reminders for the Budhist philosophy's Eightfold path. Below is a picture of my drawing notebook. This help me memorize the lessons they teach on wisdom, ethics and concentration.
For this week's project, I decided to reuse my drawing but create somethign with a totally different style.
Using Adobe Shapes CC
Following on my previous project with another experiment with the new Adobe mobile applications, I used Adobe Shapes CC for this week's project.

Using this mobile application, it is very simple to turn a drawing like mine into a set of vector shapes. You simply use a picture of the work you want to convert or you directly point the camera at it. Here are a few screenshots of the application in action.
After the shapes have been turned into vector resources, you can store them into Creative Cloud Libraries as assets that then become available in other applications, such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Below are screen shots of Illustrator and Photoshop showing the library panel with my vector shapes.
Using the shapes was then trivial in Illustrator to create something I could then import into Cinema 4D for the 3D manipulation, before final compositing in Photoshop.

I really like the "Dehli" font by Antonio Rodriguez Jr which I used here.
