AESTHETIC IMPERFECTION
For this collection I wanted to bring to fashion the message of the subjectivity of the ugly, and give an opportunity for ugliness to becomeprecious. I started by analyzing voluptuous bodies and objects that society believes to be far away from beautiful but for me is.
Aesthetic Imperfection is a collection where volumes, wiring and the ups and downs of textiles and asymmetry come to the forefront under the umbrella of decorativism. Garments which are open to a patterning that allows a play with textiles from the most rigid fold to the sinuosity of folds. In this collection we find garments with enriched textiles such as: wood, embroidered silk (William Morris & Co.)… The folds can open and be submitted to volume and weakness. The silk provides light volumes and rigidly in equal measure. The color of the collection is nearly bichromatic from white to blood red. It is a project derived from volumen and rotundity.
