The goals of the assignment are to produce a properly exposed photo of excellent composition, and be creative in nature. Ideally, the photos will demonstrate a use of Depth of Field to creatively emphasize the subject, bring interest to a bland subject, or remove a distracting element of the photo especially if you are using a short depth of field.

The above photo was my great depth of field photo that I took in a grove of trees near my house. I set this up so the shot was made through the two big trees. I chose black and white because it brought more depth to the shot than in color.
