Responsive Silhouettes is a rendition of nature in transit; a herd of wildebeest depicted as shadows consciously and actively aware of their surroundings. Stark cold colours in the background with contrasting, unexpected warm – sunset colours in the foreground, contribute to the paradoxical colours that is in contrast with the shadows thus creating movement.

 

With numerous hours spent on this artwork, it was well worth the effort. Experience was earned whilst mixing the correct colour combinations and willingly seeking techniques to finish off and contribute to the moving iconography of the artwork. As depicted in the process below, the artwork was handled with poise and it was a great challenge especially working on such a large scale.
