Black and White
After reading the passage numerous times and studying my pictures I collected, the idea of using the image of a rabbit that fits into itself or other rabbits as though they were a large puzzle piece. Work of MC Escher came to mind, were he created metamorphic visual content, and where an animal fits exactly into itself creating a pattern with the play on maths and manipulating the negative shapes of his drawn subjects.
I wanted the rabbits fitting into each other in such a way that their design plays with the viewer’s eyes, where its existence has more than one possible function on its displayed sheet. I want to keep it modern and timeless, intriguing at the same time not too complex. Also having a page full of rabbits forming a mesmerising pattern is a visual play in the title of the passage, “Seeing Rabbits”

The Typography
My layout choice for this magazine was Visi inspired, the reason why I decided to use this magazine was due to its unique pages and pattern displays it is known for. Due to the fact, that my illustration consist of a wallpaper like pattern, which works well for this magazine.
The style I was going for was fun, modern and playful. As far as layout is concerned, I was following an existing Visi double page spread. Little adjustments, the heading was outlined and manipulated, where the counter of the “R” is made smaller and the “R” is turned upside down to resemble the head of a rabbit.
