My first color theory project was, predictably, the color wheel, but my teacher went about it in a different way and allowed us to display our "wheel" in a different way. These are some of the first sketches as I worked my way through ideas to display the 48 required colors in a fun way that I would enjoy doing.

For a time I was very obsessed with the idea of using a ceratopsian skull for the project, and these are some of the variations of how I thought I might do it. The rainbow striped one is actually a personal favorite, but I realized I would simply not be able to complete it in the time available and so moved on.
These sketches are actually what I eventually decided on, and the top one was fully developed and painted for class.
