Aah, autumn. The soft greens, brown and burnish in the dying sun. Mellowing to gold and deep umber, leaves fall to decorate the loamy soil, creating jewel like paths across the forest floor. Where would we be without trees, their canopies, their whispering? How would we live in a world without the glorious rich fauna of woodland and hedgerow, field and hillside? What a dull, muted world it would be without parks and gardens breathing life into the barren concrete clustered cities.
