Munny in blank
Glyph of Tlatoani (Great Lord) and Ahuizotl

Ahuitzotl is the name of a mythological creature in the Mexica (Aztec) culture. It means "The spiny one", it was a mammal like a dog with human hands in the four legs and a large tail also with a hand. This creature lived in water, on lakes and rivers (Tenochtitlan, the capital of the aztec empire was settled over a great lake connected with little islands, bridges and "chinampas", portions of land floating over water used specially to live and planting). This animal has a spiny skin and mexicas thought that it kills persons drowning them.

The 8th Tlatoani ("Great Lord" = Emperor) was also named Ahuitzotl. He was the father of Cuauhtémoc, the last Tlatoani defeated by the Spanish conquerors. Auitzotl was the tlatoani that brought the military glory for the mexicas (aztecs) doing great conquest in many territories of Mesoamerica, now Mexico.
Ahuitzotl also ordered to build an acueduct for Tenochtitlan. This acueduct had an error and caused a great flood, this caused a fall of certain structures and a great brick hit Ahuitzotl's head.

My munny  is the result of certain elements of this character and the mythologycal animal.  It has the headdress and ther nose "piercing" (in spanish is nariguera) in Turquoise Blue, this color was so precious for Mexicas. Also has his Maquiahuitl (war baton) and his chimalli (shield). It is dressed with a mantle, using golden earings. It has a large tail with a hand and some elements sililar to the mexica glyph.
