Barcelona flotante - for Barcelona Puzzle

Barcelona Puzzle is a small business in Barcelona, Spain, founded by Verónica Estrada. It started as a tumblr collection of images that showed a softer, less touristic side of the city, a better reflection of the small wonders one can find every day when living there. The success of her pictures eventually led to her starting to sell these as postcards. They were a different sort of memento of the city. People who have taken the time to really know the quirks and details of the city will greatly prefer these images to the large scale, impersonal souvenirs aimed at the casual tourist.
Having lived in Barcelona myself (it was a great love affair that lasted less than I would have preferred), I was overjoyed when Verónica contacted me with the news that Barcelona Puzzle was going to start making t-shirts and other products, and they were looking for illustrators and designers to make designs for them.
This is the first of what will hopefully be many contributions for the brand. A simple, geometric, almost cartoony cityscape with certain landmarks and small references to the great many things that happen in that wonderful city. I hope I managed to convey Barcelona's personality properly.
Although for now designs will only be applied to t-shirts and postcards, the success of the project might mean producing other merchandise, such as prints, iphone cases and tote bags (I really want tote bags).
