Hello, My name is Thomas Land and i started growing objects in my little orchard in southern Germany in 2010. Why do I do this? Because I am a romantic botanist and alchemist who believes that designing objects should become more of a natural process, like “going back to our roots”.

To be able to grow the Terraipodo Salatina, I decided to travel around the California valleys in order to find the magic ingredient: „mp3ana musicarea“, a local rare component that was invented by an unknown alchemist called Stefan Jobs.

As the „mp3ana musicarea“ is extremely difficult to grow in GEMAland, I had a brilliant idea and decided to germinate it in streaming waters before adding it to the final mixture.

If the Terraipodo Salatina doesn‘t work at the beginning, bury it again 3 times in a row and try again after some minutes.

After my visit to the Faber Castell factory in 2009, I thought that pencils were probably the most used and useful objects of the designer world and they could be one of my first products.

So I gathered the best graphite from the alps, the best wood from Siberia and some pencil shavings from the local factory and I began to make the perfect mixture.

After months of experimenting and doing tests, I finally achieved my goal. I call it Pencilis Arboriensis, a bush the size of a bonsai that can produce, in one single year 3 different pencils: hard, medium and soft.

To be able to grow the most precious necklace inside a pumpkin, I had to experiment with all types of materials such as tin, copper & silver.

The shape of the necklace will always depend on the pumpkin shape, therefore we highly recommend to use Delicata and Butternut varieties for a better result.
